Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has divested a 4.5 per cent stake in Central Depository Services (India) (CDSL) for Rs 468 crore through an open market transaction. BSE offloaded 47,44,000 shares. The shares were disposed of at an average price of Rs 985.98 apiece. In February this year, BSE sold 2.5 per cent stake in CDSL through an offer for sale (OFS) route.
CDSL was set up with the objective of providing convenient, dependable and secure depository services at affordable cost to all market participants.
