Tata Motors’ arm reports 29% rise in retail sales in Q1FY24

Tata Motors’ subsidiary-- Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has reported 29 per cent rise in retail sales in the first quarter ended June 30, 2023 (Q1FY24) at 1,01,994 units, as compared to the same period a year ago. The growth reflects continuing improvement in chip and other supply constraints. Wholesales, excluding those of Chery Jaguar Land Rover China JV, were at 93,253 units in the first quarter, up 30 per cent as compared to the year-ago period.

Tata Motors is India’s largest automobile company. Through subsidiaries and associate companies, Tata Motors has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands.
