South Indian Bank attains business target of Rs 75,000 crore

South Indian Bank has attained the business target of Rs 75,000 crore as ideated in Vision Document 2013. It had set a goal to achieve a total business of Rs 75,000 crore, network of 750 branches, 750 ATMs and 7,500 employees by 2013. The lender has also added more branches in Assam, Tripura, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir by increasing its national presence.

The bank has reported a rise of 2.32% in its net profit at Rs 97.15 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 94.95 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The bank’s total income has registered a growth of 23.02% at Rs 1144.53 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 930.33 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
