Aviation stocks fly higher on the buzz of ATF price cut

01 Apr 2013 Evaluate

Airline stocks have been flying higher since early deals ever after some media reports suggested of Oil PSUs slashing Aviation Turbine Fuel or ATF prices by a steep 5.5%. Reversing the rising trend of past two months, ATF prices at T3 terminal in Delhi were cut by about Rs 3,885 per kilolitre (kl), or 5.5%, to Rs 66,196 per kl from today. The development comes as a relief as ATF accounts for nearly half of an Indian carrier’s operating cost, compared to 20-25 per cent globally.
