Eicher Motors and Volvo Group joint venture (JV) company -- VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has posted a 1.8% decline in total sales at 5877 units in July 2023. VE Commercial Vehicles had sold 5982 units in June 2022. Eicher branded trucks and buses recorded sales of 5736 units in July 2023 as against 5861 units in July 2022, a decline of 2.1%.
In the domestic market, sales of Eicher branded trucks and buses fell by 0.9% to 5311 units as compared with 5360 units in the corresponding month last year. Exports of Eicher branded commercial vehicles were at 425 units last month, down from 501 units in July 2022. Volvo trucks and buses recorded sales of 141 units in July 2023 over 121 units in July 2022, representing a growth of 16.5%.
