Hindustan Motors reports 79% rise in passenger vehicles production in March 2013

Hindustan Motors (HM) has reported a rise of 78.90% in production of passenger vehicles for the month of March 2013 at 848 units compared to 474 units in the same month of the last year. In the light commercial vehicles, the company has reported production of 26 units in March 2013.

On domestic sales front, the company sold 856 units in the month of March 2013 as compared to 687 units sold in March 2012, while the company sold 28 units in Light Commercial Vehicle space compared to 32 units sold in March 2012.

Hindustan Motors is India’s pioneering automobile manufacturing company manufactures passenger cars, Multi Utility Vehicles and RTV. It also manufactures passenger cars in the mid size premium segment (Mitsubishi Lancer, Lancer Select, and Lancer Cedia) and has brought the Sports Utility Vehicle (Mitsubishi Pajero) into the Indian market, in collaboration with Mitsubishi Motors of Japan.
