HDFC Bank inaugurates three rural branches in Tamil Nadu

HDFC Bank, country’s private sector lender has inaugurated three new branches in rural parts of Tamil Nadu state. The three two-men rural branches have been opened in Periyakullam, Ananthathandavapuram and Kalluthotti junction. Pursuant to opening of these branches, the bank becomes the first new generation private sector bank to set up operations in such areas.

With the latest addition, the number of branches of the bank in the state has risen to 182. The new branches would offer services like opening of savings account, fixed deposits, current account, mutual fund, insurance, two-wheeler loans besides offering ATM, phone banking and net banking facilities.

HDFC Bank is one of India's premier banks providing a wide range of financial products and services to its 21 million customers across hundreds of Indian cities using multiple distribution channels including a pan- India network of branches, ATMs, phone banking, net banking and mobile banking. It currently has 2,776 branches and 10,490 ATMs across the country.
