United Bank of India has been awarded the first prize for excellence in MSE lending and second prize for excellence in lending to Micro Enterprises. The bank received both the awards from President of India.
The Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India, organized an award function at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on April 03, 2013 to recognize exceptional contribution of artisans, individuals, entrepreneurs and banks in promotion of MSME. Besides, the bank has also been conferred with prize for excellent performance in PMEGP in North East Zone.
United Bank of India has emerged as a strong and efficient banking organization over the years and plays an integral role in the socio-economic development of the Eastern and North-Eastern States of the country.
