Gati, a logistics firm is likely to merge few of its wholly-owned subsidiaries with itself. The Andhra Pradesh High Court has approved the scheme of arrangement for amalgamation of five wholly-owned subsidiaries with the parent company. The five subsidiaries include Gati Express Distribution and Sumeru Commercial & Trading.
With this initiative the entity will be able to bring in better financial capabilities and result in an enhanced shareholder value. It will also have in its fold diversified businesses, which will enable it to manage risks in a better way.
