Tata Power organizes employability training programme

Tata Power’s Naraj Marthapur project has organized an employability training programme for students in Athagarh. The sixth batch of the programme saw participation from 65 students from all across Cuttack. The 12-day training programme was organized in association with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Kolkata in order to provide employment opportunities for students. The company has been carrying out such various activities with a thrust to positively impact the lives of the communities living around its project areas.

Out of the 65 trainees, 48 students attended a written test, and 15 of them qualified for the next round. In the final round, three students were selected by TCS. So far, six batches have been completed in Odisha and 50 candidates have been recruited by TCS (KPO/BPO), Kolkata.

Tata Power is India's largest integrated private sector power utility with an installed generation capacity of 5297 MW and a presence in all the segments of the power sector viz. generation (thermal, hydro, solar and wind), transmission, distribution and trading.
