Jet Airways to transfer international guests directly to domestic flights

11 Apr 2013 Evaluate

Jet Airways will be offering more comfortable transit for international passengers whereby they will be transferred directly to Domestic flights through CSIA’s international terminal security hold area. The country's private air carrier has taken this step in order to avoid the hassle of boarding buses and crossing terminals to catch a domestic flight.

The Mumbai International Airport has assigned gate numbers 4 and 5 in the security hold area for incoming international guests of Jet Airways, wishing to connect to their domestic flights. Guests will be transferred to the domestic terminal to board their flights directly. The security hold area will be open between 0300 hrs and 0700, providing major relief to the arriving international passengers. The guests still have the option to leave the international terminal and go on their own to the domestic terminal if they wish to do so.

Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 101 aircraft, which include 10 Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, 10 Airbus A330-200 aircraft, 4 Airbus A330-300 aircraft, 59 next generation Boeing 737-700/800/900 aircraft, 17 ATR 72-500 and 1 ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft. With an average fleet age of 5.45 years, the airline has one of the youngest fleet of aircraft in the world.
