SBICAP Trustee Company has sold 8,517,152 shares of Kingfisher Airlines in an open market transaction. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 7.87 a piece on National Stock Exchange (NSE) on April 11, 2013.
Kingfisher Airlines is one of the leading private players in the Indian aviation industry. Incorporated in 1995 as Deccan Aviation, the company is engaged in the business of providing passenger and helicopter charter services. The name was changed to Kingfisher Airlines in the year 2008.
