Tata Metaliks gets nod from West Bengal Pollution Control Board for Sinter Plant

Tata Metaliks has received the 'Consent to Operate' from The West Bengal Pollution Control Board on April 04, 2013 with respect to the company's newly commissioned Sinter Plant at Kharagpur in the state of West Bengal. Accordingly, the commercial operation has been started at the Sinter Plant from April 05, 2013.

Tata Metaliks was set up as a joint venture between Tata Steel and WBIDC (West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation) to manufacture pig iron at its plant at Kharagpur, West Bengal. It has two plants at present, one located at Kharagpur (West Bengal) and the other at Redi (Maharashtra).
