Mahindra & Mahindra suffers production loss of 3,000 engines

Mahindra & Mahindra, country’s largest utility vehicle maker has suffered a production loss of around 3,000 engines because of the ‘tools down’ protest by its workers at Igatpuri engine manufacturing facility near Nashik. Work has been stopped at the Igatpuri Plant post the suspension of two workmen on disciplinary grounds one of them being a union office bearer. Around 1,600 employees are involved in tools down protest demanding reinstatement of the leader.
