Allahabad Bank trades higher on the bourses

Allahabad Bank is currently trading at Rs 128.25, up by 1.75 points or 1.38% from its previous closing of Rs 126.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 126.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 128.45 and Rs 125.05 respectively. So far 47136 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 195.10 on 17-Apr-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 103.00 on 22-Aug-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 129.85 and Rs 122.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 6375.33 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.24% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.35% and 12.41% respectively.

Allahabad Bank has opened one new branch at Egra under Midanapore Zone in the state of West Bengal. The Zonal Head of Midanapore Zonal Office and other executives of the bank were present on the occasion.

The bank has reported 44.54% fall in its net profit at Rs 310.83 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 560.43 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank has increased by 12.32% at Rs 4785.34 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 4260.28 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.
