Union Bank of India inaugurates 60th Regional Office in Sambalpur, Odisha

Union Bank of India has opened its 60th Regional Office located at Sambalpur in state of Odisha on April 12, 2013. This is the banks’ second Regional Office in Odisha, other being in Bhubaneshwar.

The Sambalpur Regional Office will cater to the branches in 15 districts namely Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Nawapara, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Nowrangpur, Koraput, and Malkagiri. The bank has 29 branches spread over in these 15 districts. The Region is carved out from the present Bhubaneshwar Region to give more support to the customers in these districts and also to expand fast and enhancing the base.

Union Bank of India has 83 branches in the Odisha state which is presently catered by the sole Regional Office - Bhubaneshwar. The total business mix in the state is Rs 10,167 crore which comprises Rs 6,991 crore Deposits and Rs 3,176 crore Advances.
