Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs 96.85, up by 2.70 points or 2.87% from its previous closing of Rs 94.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 98.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 99.70 and Rs 96.80 respectively. So far 227815 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Re 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 113.20 on 05-Dec-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 85.80 on 24-May-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 97.20 and Rs 93.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 23173.05 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 32.47% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 48.30% and 16.01% respectively.

Trust Energy Resources (TER), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power, has received prestigious Approved International Shipping (AIS) award, at the Singapore International Maritime Awards 2013 on April 11, 2013. Trust Energy operates a fleet of five cape vessels, owned and chartered, through Energy Eastern, a Coastal Gujarat Power subsidiary, and provides dedicated freight solutions to the 4,000MW Mundra Ultra Mega Power Project (UMPP).

Trust Energy owns two Korean built cape vessels - Trust Agility and Trust Integrity. It has built competencies in optimizing the shipping costs, with its multi-cultural team in Singapore, and provides Mundra UMPP with both long-term and spot freight solutions.

The Singapore government's International Maritime Programme is a package of financial and other incentives aimed at facilitating the growth of operations anchored in Singapore. With this award and special status, Trust Energy and Energy Eastern have entered the league of established international shipping companies.

Tata Power is India's largest integrated private sector power utility with an installed generation capacity of 5297 MW and a presence in all the segments of the power sector viz. generation (thermal, hydro, solar and wind), transmission, distribution and trading.
