Hero MotoCorp has been conferred with Business Leader in Automobiles 2 wheeler at the NDTV Profit Business Leadership Awards 2012. The auto major received the award from Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission, Government of India at an award ceremony held on April 08, 2013 at New Delhi.
The NDTV Profit Business Leadership Awards instituted in 2006, aims at recognizing organizational excellence and it rewards the organizations for leading the Indian business and industry from the front.
Hero MotoCorp is the World's single largest two-wheeler motorcycle company. Honda Motor Company of Japan and the Hero Group entered a joint venture to setup Hero Honda Motors Limited in 1984. Hero Honda Motors changed its name to Hero MotoCorp following the exit of its erstwhile Japanese promoter, Honda, from the company.
