National Thermal Power Corporation’s (NTPC) Unit - 1 of 660 MW of Sipat super thermal power station stage-I is declared on commercial operation with effect from 00.00 Hrs. of October 01, 2011.
With this the commercial capacity of Sipat super thermal power station (stage-I and II) is 1660 MW and that of NTPC is 30990 MW.
Recently, NTPC Kanti Bijlee Utpadan Nigam, a subsidiary of NTPC, India’s largest power generation company had achieved financial closure of Rs 2,341 crore from a consortium of Indian banks for its 390-MW Muzaffarpur thermal power project in Bihar.
