HDFC Bank, the second largest private sector bank in India, has achieved an important milestone of 200 branches in Andhra Pradesh. The 200th branch was launched in Vemulawada, a pilgrim town in Karimnagar district of Andhra Pradesh. With a network of 200 branches, HDFC Bank is one of the fastest growing private sector banks in the state. The bank is also planning to open more branches in the rural parts of Andhra Pradesh.
Starting with the first branch launched in Bengaluru, the Bank has rapidly expanded its network, from branches in metropolitan areas to semi-urban and rural branches, across the length and breadth of the state. Currently, more than 75% of the Bank's total branches are outside the top 9 metros, which indicate the impetus the Bank is giving to growing its network in semi-urban and rural areas.
HDFC Bank is one of India's premier banks providing a wide range of financial products and services to its 21 million customers across hundreds of Indian cities using multiple distribution channels including a pan- India network of branches, ATMs, phone banking, net banking and mobile banking.
