M&M’s SsangYong Motor unveils ‘Rexton W’ for Chinese consumers

Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M), country’s major automobile maker’s South Korean subsidiary SsangYong Motor Corporation has officially unveiled the ‘Rexton W’ for Chinese consumers at the press day event for Auto Shanghai 2013 on April 20, marking the company’s first step toward entering the high-end Chinese auto market. The Ssangyong ‘Rexton W’ is going to be made available with one of three power trains: namely, two types of diesel engines and a gasoline engine, from which drivers can choose according to their needs and preferences.

Ssangyong seeks to strengthen its profile and product lineup in China, which is the world’s largest auto market. Besides, in order to meet its goal of selling 10,000 vehicles in China this year, and to secure a greater number of points of contact with Chinese consumers, the company will expand its sales network of 80 dealerships to 100 dealerships by the end of 2014.
