Tata Motors’ Chery Jaguar Land Rover to procure AGM advanced battery technology

Tata Motors’ Chery Jaguar Land Rover will be procuring Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) advanced battery technology from the world’s leading supplier of automotive batteries, Johnson Controls, in order to power its vehicles. The AGM will be used to power Chery Jaguar Land Rover Start-Stop and other vehicles made in China to serve the China market.

Chery Jaguar Land Rover is a joint venture (JV) between Tata Motors’ Jaguar Land Rover and Chinese automaker Chery.

Tata Motors is India's largest automobile company and a leader in commercial vehicles in each segment, and among the top in passenger vehicles with winning products in the compact, midsize car and utility vehicle segments. It is also the world's fourth largest truck and bus manufacturer.
