Dena Bank unveils health insurance plan for KCC holders: Report

PSU lender Dena Bank has reportedly unveiled a health cover scheme for farmers holding Kisan Credit Cards (KCC). In the said scheme the bank will offer KCC holders and their family members, mediclaim with maximum cover up to Rs 30,000. This cashless facility will be available at around 4,200 hospitals all over the country.

Dena Bank was established in 1938 and was nationalized in July 1969. As on March 31, 2012, the bank has 1,342 branches and 543 ATMs with 57% branches in rural and semi-urban areas. More than half of the bank’s branches are in the states of Gujarat and Maharashtra.
