Corporation Bank, a Mangalore-headquartered bank, has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Solid Solar by Gautam Polymers, a leading solar lights manufacturer in order to boost renewable energy sector through micro finance loans in South India. The partnership enables both the parties to leverage each other’s strengths.
The bank through its extensive network across the southern states, would finance Solid Solar home systems, solar street light system, solar lantern and solar power plants to popularize their usage in rural and urban areas. It will also allow the bank to enlarge its funding support to many more customers.
