Castrol India trades with traction on the BSE

Castrol India is currently trading at Rs. 324.35, up by 12.60 points or 4.04% from its previous closing of Rs. 311.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 311.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 329.40 and Rs. 311.75 respectively. So far 67445 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 338.00 on 08-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 236.65 on 01-Jun-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 329.40 and Rs. 309.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 16004.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 71.03% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.70% and 14.27% respectively.

Castrol India, the oil marketing and distribution company is planning to consider reduction in share capital of the company that is returning a part of the nominal value of the shares to the shareholders of the company. With this initiative company is likely to increase shareholders value and produce a more efficient capital structure.

Castrol India is the second largest player in the Indian lubricant industry and is the market leader in the retail automotive lubricant segment. It manufactures and markets a range of automotive and industrial lubricants.
