Maruti Suzuki registers 3.10% fall in April sales

India’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki India has registered a fall of 3.10% in its total car sales (Domestic + Export) for the month of April at 97,302 units as against 1,00,415 units in April 2012. Though, the company’s domestic sales registered a gain of 0.03% in April 2013 at 90,523 units as against 90,255 units in corresponding month last year.

Of the total, the company has sold 76,509 units of its passenger cars during last month, up by 4.9% as against 72,939 units in April 2012. The sales of its utility vehicles declined 4.9% to 5,318 units from 5,593 units while the company’s sales of vans crumbled 25.8% to 8,696 units as against 11,723 units in April 2012.

The company’s sales from export tumbled 33.33% to 6,779 units as against 10,160 units in April 2012.
