Steel Strips Wheels (SSWL) has achieved a gross sale of Rs 93.66 crore during April, 2013 period as against Rs 104.88 crore in April, 2012, registering a decline of 10.70%. The net sales of the company stood at Rs 83.94 crore in April 2013, down by 11.42% as against Rs 94.76 crore in April, 2012.
The company has sold 8.25 lakh steel wheel rims during the month under review, down by 13.25% as against 9.51 lakh steel wheel rims sold during the month of April, 2012. The company has achieved export sales of 92,633 wheel rims during the month of April, 2013 as against 147,114 wheel rims during the month of April, 2012, registering a fall of 37.03%.
SSWL is a part of the Steel Strips Group, headquartered in Chandigarh. It is engaged in the manufacturing of single piece steel wheel rims in the range of 10 to 30 inches for scooters, passenger cars, utility vehicles and tractors. It supplies rims to almost all major manufacturers of two wheelers, three wheelers, four wheelers, tractors and heavy commercial vehicle.
