Andhra Bank has reported results for the quarter & year ended March 31, 2013.
The bank’s net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2013 rose by 1.44% at Rs 344.58 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 339.67 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012. Bank’s total income has increased by 14.99% at Rs 3713.06 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 3228.90 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
The bank’s net profit for the year ended March 31, 2013 fell by 4.13% at Rs 1289.13 crore as compared to Rs 1344.67 crore for the previous year ended March 31, 2012. However, its total income has surged by 14.41% to Rs 13957.11 crore for the year under review from Rs 12198.66 crore for the previous year.
The bank’s gross NPA for the March 31, 2013 quarter of the current fiscal stood at 3.71%, higher as compared to 2.12% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, bank’s Net NPA was at 2.45%, higher as compared to 0.91% in the same quarter of the previous year.
