Vedanta Aluminium, a business of Vedanta, has become the newest member of the International Aluminium Institute (IAI). The International Aluminium Institute is the only body representing the global primary aluminium industry.
Vedanta Aluminium is also India’s largest producer of the metal, manufacturing 2.29 million tonnes of aluminium in FY23, nearly 60% of the nation’s aluminium. This places the company among the world’s top 10 biggest producers of the metal, widely acknowledged as the ‘metal of the future’ for enabling the world’s energy transition while supporting key engineering technologies and sustainable applications.
