Syndicate Bank sponsored regional rural bank - Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank (KVGB) has reportedly opened its 525th branch located at Rajatagiri in Dharwad city in the state of Karnataka. The bank gave away loan sanction letters totaling Rs 20 lakh sanctioned by the new branch and also handed over passbooks to customers.
In addition to the existing 525 branches, the bank is also planning to expand its branch network in the nine districts of its area of operation by at least 50 during the current financial year.
Syndicate Bank has a network of 2,709 branches and 1,240 ATMs as on March 31, 2012. The bank has branches in all the states except Manipur and in all the Union Territories except Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. SB has an international branch at London.
