Lemon Tree Hotels signs new property in Bihar

Lemon Tree Hotels has signed new property in Motihari, Bihar. The property, which will be franchised by Lemon Tree Hotels, is expected to open in FY25. Motihari is situated in the eastern part of the Indian state of Bihar, near the Nepal border. It is part of the Champaran region, historically significant for being the place where Mahatma Gandhi launched his first Satyagraha (non-violent resistance) movement in India. 

Apart from its historical significance, Motihari and its surrounding areas may have other local attractions and landmarks that draw tourists and visitors. The economy of Motihari is largely agrarian, with agriculture being the primary source of livelihood for the majority of the population. The region produces crops like rice, sugarcane, and various fruits and vegetables. Lemon Tree Hotel, Motihari, Bihar will feature 50 well-appointed rooms, a restaurant, a fitness center, a lounge, a banquet hall, a meeting room, a swimming pool, a bar, a spa and other public areas.

Lemon Tree Hotels is India’s largest hotel chain in the mid-priced hotel sector, and the third largest overall, on the basis of controlling interest in owned and leased rooms.
