17 May 2013 Evaluate

The order on whether to summon Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde is likely to be pronounced by the Delhi court on May 17. Metropolitan Magistrate Amitabh Rawat, saying that he had not prepared the whole order and listed his verdict to Friday.

The move is with regard to a case filed against Shinde for his ‘hindu terror’ remark. The court had already recorded the pre-summoning evidence of petitioner VP Kumar after it had heard his counsel Monika Arora, who had alleged that the home minister had willfully made the derogatory remarks to cause ill will and hatred among communities.

Kumar, in his petition, had alleged that Shinde's remarks were aimed at polarising minority votes in the 2014 general elections.
