Tata Motors, country’s largest car maker is planning to postpone the development of its new assembly plant in Thailand worth Rs 1,839 crore, as it is facing slump in demand. It has decided to enter into Thailand's passenger car market during the third quarter of this year with the introduction of its Nano budget car. Automaker had unveiled plans to build a factory with an annual capacity of 60,000 vehicles, either in Thailand or Indonesia, at the end of 2012.

The company has registered a fall of 14.85% in its total vehicle sales at 51,160 units in April 2013, as against 60,086 units sold in the same month last year.
