Hero Moto Corp gains on retailing 5.5 lakh units

Hero Moto Corp is currently trading at Rs. 1702.35, up by 16.50 points or 0.98% from its previous closing of Rs. 1685.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1685.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1709.00 and Rs. 1685.05 respectively. So far 8094 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2149.95 on 29-Jun-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1434.05 on 15-Apr-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1715.00 and Rs. 1655.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 33966.84 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.21% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.03% and 8.76% respectively.

Hero Moto Corp, so far, has retailed 5.5 lakh units. The company’s sales were boosted by auspicious buying. The company has recorded the upsurge in sales mainly on account of Gudi Padwa and Navratri. The company’s 5-year warranty has led to hike in retail market share. Further, the company expects the growth momentum to sustain if monsoon turn out to be good.

Hero MotoCorp is the World's single largest two-wheeler motorcycle company. Honda Motor Company of Japan and the Hero Group entered a joint venture to setup Hero Honda Motors Limited in 1984. Hero Honda Motors changed its name to Hero MotoCorp following the exit of its erstwhile Japanese promoter, Honda, from the company.
