M&M reports 24% rise in overall auto sales in February

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has reported a 24% rise in its overall auto sales (including exports) at 72,923 units for the month of February 2024 as compared to 58801 units in the same month last year. Of the total, the company has posted 40% increase in domestic passenger vehicles sales at 42,401 units in February 2024, as compared to the same month last year. The company had sold 30358 units of passenger vehicles in February 2023. Among passenger vehicles, domestic sales of utility vehicles were at 42401 units in February 2024, as against 30221 units in the year-ago period, a growth of 40%.

Domestic sales of three-wheelers, including electric 3Ws, were at 6158 units in February 2024, as compared to 5350 units in February 2023, a growth of 15%. The domestic sales for Small Commercial Vehicles (LCV 2 T - 3.5 T) stood at 15779 vehicles. Sales of Commercial Vehicles (LCV > 3.5T + MHCV) stood at 2900 units. However, the exports of the company fell 32% to 1539 units in February 2024 as compared to 2250 units in February 2023.
