Country’s largest two-wheeler maker-Hero MotoCorp, in partnership with Indy Motos Group, has launched range of two-wheelers in Guatemala City, El Salvador and Honduras, with the latter being appointed as authorized distributor of the company. The range of two-wheelers being launched in these markets includes Hunk, Karizma, Glamour, HF Dawn, Splendor NXG, Super Splendor and Achiever. Indy will be selling range of two wheelers through a network of outlets spread across these countries.
Further, the company will soon commence its operations in other new international markets in Latin and Central America and Africa, in order to achieve the target of 10% of its total volumes from international business in the next four to five years. However, the company registered a fall of 9.51% in its total sales at 4, 99,113 units for April this year, as against 5,51,557 units sold in same month previous year.
Hero MotoCorp is the World's single largest two-wheeler motorcycle company. Honda Motor Company of Japan and the Hero Group entered a joint venture to setup Hero Honda Motors Limited in 1984. Hero Honda Motors changed its name to Hero MotoCorp following the exit of its erstwhile Japanese promoter, Honda, from the company.
