SJVN’s wholly owned subsidiary -- SJVN Green Energy (SGEL) has incorporated a Joint Venture (JV) Company with Assam Power Distribution Company named ‘SGEL Assam Renewable Energy’ vide Certificate of Incorporation dated April 18, 2024 issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. The JV Company shall carry out business in the field of Power Generation from all renewable energy sources including Hydro Power by setting up power plants.

SJVN’s principal business activity is electricity generation. The company is also engaged in the business of providing consultancy.
