Tata Power plans to add 150-200MW of wind energy in India every year

Tata Power is planning to add 30-50MW of solar power and 150-200MW of wind energy in India every year. The company’s total investment in solar and wind energy so far is Rs. 2,393 crore. The total generation from solar has touched 49.83MUs and from wind projects has touched 796MUs till March 31, 2013. The company’s generation through clean sources in India such as hydro, wind and solar today stands at 873MW.

The company is one of the leading solar power companies with a total operational capacity of more than 28MW. This includes a 25MW Mithapur project, Gujarat; 3MW at Mulshi, Maharashtra; and some rooftop solar installations.
