Kirloskar Oil Engines (KOEL) has received an approval for shifting of K-series engines manufacturing activity from Silvassa Plant to Kagal plant, Kolhapur. The board at its meeting held on October 21, 2011 has approved for the same. Further, the company has noted shifting of the said manufacturing activity to Kagal plant with effect from August 31, 2011.
Recently, the company had received an order of Rs 396 crore from Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) for the supply of 16 nos. emergency Diesel Generating sets of 4.2 MW each. This order is to be executed over next 42 months.
Kirloskar Oil Engines manufactures the widest range of diesel engines in India. Its other product range includes irrigation pump sets, diesel generating sets and engine bearings.
