SJVN power generation declines by 11% in FY13: Report

SJVN’s power generation has reportedly declined by about 11% in FY13. The total power generation in FY13 stands at 6678 m units. The company is expecting that power generation will pick up pace in FY14 and expecting to generate over 7,000 m units in FY14. Meanwhile, the company is expecting a margin to be about 86% in FY14.

SJVN is a joint venture between the Central government and Himachal Pradesh state government. The company owns and operates India’s largest 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh.
