REC’s wholly owned subsidiary -- REC Power Development & Consultancy has incorporated two Wholly Owned Subsidiary (WOS) Companies. These subsidiaries are named as Bikaner A Power Transmission and Bikaner B Power Transmission. The said companies are also subsidiary companies of REC, in terms of the provisions of Section 2(87) of the Companies Act, 2013.
Bikaner A Power Transmission has been incorporated for transmission system for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ PhIV (Part-3: 6 GW) [Bikaner complex]: Part A. Bikaner B Power Transmission has been incorporated for transmission system for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ Ph-IV (Part-3: 6 GW) [Bikaner complex]: Part B.
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric cooperatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
