Gail (India) reports over 3- fold jump in Q4 consolidated net profit

Gail (India) has reported results for fourth quarter (Q4) and year ended March 31, 2024.

The company has reported over 3- fold jump in its net profit at Rs 2,176.97 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 603.52 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 2.67% at Rs 32972.10 crore for Q4FY24 as compared Rs 33875.39 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported over 3- fold jump in its net profit at Rs 2,474.31 crore for fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024 as compared to Rs 642.74 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 2.19% at Rs 33,069.76 crore for Q4FY24 as compared Rs 33,810.67 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2024, the company has reported 66.67% rise in its net profit at Rs 8836.48 crore as compared to Rs 5301.51 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 9.62% at Rs 132846.00 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 146986.31 crore for year ended March 31, 2023.

For the year ended March 31, 2024, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported 76.97% rise in its net profit at Rs 9,902.81 crore as compared to Rs 5,595.89 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 8.62% at Rs 134,507.35 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 147203.50 crore for year ended March 31, 2023.
