M&M’s auto sales stood at 43,460 units in May 2013

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), the country’s leading SUV manufacturer, has reported its auto sales numbers for May 2013 which stood at 43,460 units, a fall of 1.20% as against 43,989 units during May 2012. The Passenger Vehicles segment (which includes the UVs and Verito) registered a growth of 5%, having sold 22,244 units in May 2013, as against 21,154 units during May 2012.The company’s domestic sales stood at 42,104 units during May 2013, as against 39,938 units during May 2012.

The 4 wheeler commercial segment which includes the passenger and load vehicles registered a 12% growth, having sold 14,848 units, while the 3 wheeler segment clocked 4,028 units in May 2013. Exports for the month of May 2013 stood at 1,356 units.
