In a bid to reduce its debt burden, Lanco Infratech is planning to raise Rs 1,000 crore in FY14 through sale of non-core assets across wind, solar and road segments. The group’s net debt touched Rs 33,593.5 crore at the end of March 2013.
Recently, the company has raised around Rs 42 crore by selling some wind energy assets in Tamil Nadu.
Lanco reported a net loss of Rs 1,073.3 crore in the full year ended March 2013, bogged down by dues from power distribution companies and under-performance of assets. In the comparable period, the loss was at Rs 112 crore.
