Reliance Power’s promoter sold 500,000 equity shares in the open market on June 03, 2013 with the result of that the minimum public holding as required under Clause 40A of the Listing Agreement has been complied with.
Earlier, the promoters of the company on December 19, 2012 had off loaded 15,20,51,807 equity shares in consequences of which the promoter’s holding in the company was reduced to 75.02%.
According to SEBI norms, all private sector listed companies need to have at least 25% public shareholding and promoters have been asked to lower their stake to 75 percent or below by June, 2013.
