Bata to open ladies footwear concept stores: Report

Bata is reportedly planning to open a standalone concept stores for ladies footwear in the next 18 to 24 months. The ladies stores will be of smaller size of nearly 500-800 square feet but normally the company’s flagship stores are around 3,000 square feet in size.

Meanwhile, Ladies footwear brands such as Marie Claire, Sundrops, among others, contribute around 25% to the company’s topline while Men’s, sportswear, children and accessories contribute 40%, 15 %, 13 % and 7%, respectively.
