Titan Industries inches up as Titan Eye Plus launches ‘Titan Glares’

Titan Industries is currently trading at Rs. 279.90, up by 0.70 points or 0.25% from its previous closing of Rs. 279.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 275.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 280.80 and Rs. 273.25 respectively. So far 76,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 313.60 on 30-Nov-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 207.55 on 08-Jun-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 302.00 and Rs. 275.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 24,849 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.05% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 21.89% and 25.05% respectively.

Titan Industries’ flagship wing - Titan Eye Plus, an eyewear retail chain, has launched Titan Glares, a range of sunglasses designed for people in the age-group of 25 to 35 years. Titan Glares sunglasses are priced between Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,995.

Titan Eye Plus, the third major line of consumer business from Titan Industries, has over 227 stores functional across 79 cities. The company further plans to open 40 to 45 stores this year and investments would be raised by franchisees.

Titan Industries, the leading watch manufacturer has recorded sales of Rs 10,009.05 crore for 2012-13, registering a growth of 14.5% over last year.
