Tata Power Company’s Delhi Distribution (TPDDL) has launched a new vocational training (VT) centre, run by Prayas, an NGO, at Narela in its distribution network of North & North-West Delhi. TPDDL now has five VT centres located at Sultanpuri, Mangolpuri, Wazirpur, Kirti Nagar, and the new one at Narela.
These centres, which impart vocational training in computers, typing, tailoring, embroidery, plumbing, electrician, mobile repairing, retail chain, housekeeping and beautician course, etc., have so far benefited over 1,800 youth from the less privileged sections of the society residing in various JJ (Jhuggi Jhopri) clusters in North and North-West Delhi.
