Bajaj Auto surges on unveiling 'RE Compact' three wheeler passenger vehicles

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 1739.15, up by 31.00 points or 1.81% from its previous closing of Rs. 1708.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1718.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1732.05 and Rs. 1715.00 respectively. So far 4747 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2228.95 on 03-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1423.10 on 18-Jul-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1788.00 and Rs. 1695.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 49993.94 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.02% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.46% and 24.50% respectively.

Bajaj Auto has launched 'RE Compact', three wheeler passenger vehicles in Petrol, CNG and LPG variants, to replace the company’s existing range. The RE compact comes with advanced features over the existing range like a DTSi engine (4-stroke), 10-15 per cent higher fuel efficiency, lower maintenance cost and better ergonomics. The product will be launched in a phased manner across the country.

The petrol two-stroke version is priced at Rs 1.03 lakh, while the four-stroke petrol variant will cost Rs 1.15 lakh, which is at a premium of Rs 2,000 to the existing range (all ex-showroom Mumbai.)

Further, the company is planning to roll out two new products in the three-wheeler segment besides launching the RE compact version in diesel within the next six months.
