CESC has acquired 63.91% equity shares of Purvah Green Power (Purvah), a wholly owned subsidiary of Crescent Power (subsidiary of the Company), thus making Purvah a direct subsidiary of CESC. Cost of acquisition Rs 205 crore. Objects of acquisition is to expand renewable energy business.
CESC is engaged in power generation and distribution in state of West Bengal. The company is a fully integrated power utility with its operation spanning the entire value chain right from mining coal, generating power and distribution of power.
